Our work centers around three Overcoming Faith Schools located in Kakamega, Nambale, and Bunyore, Western Kenya. These schools serve over 900 orphaned children, offering them not just an education but a holistic support system. Our schools are committed to providing quality education, nutritious meals, health services, guidance and counseling, and instilling high ethical and moral principles.
Our schools are located at Overcoming Faith Centre Church sites and are members of the National Council of Churches of Kenya. We are committed to delivering an education that challenges harmful cultural beliefs and equips our students with the knowledge and values to protect and uplift their communities. At Tucklets, we believe that every child deserves a chance to succeed, and through education and care, we are making that belief a reality.

Tucklets’ journey began in 2000, with the vision and determination of our founder, Alice Atemo. On the very first day, Alice welcomed 27 children with no supplies—just a heart full of hope. She taught them the alphabet in the dirt, marking the humble beginnings of what would grow into the Overcoming Faith Academy.
Today, Alice leads an institution that serves nearly 1,000 children across three communities. Many of these children live with extended family members, like grandparents or aunts, often in households where food is scarce. Through the support of Tucklets, these children not only receive an education but also meals, healthcare, and moral guidance, ensuring they have the tools to break the cycle of poverty.
